Description:
If an existing tomcat install exists, hence $CATALINA_HOME being present, tomcat will fail to start due to this section of the startup process; in ./apache-tomcat/bin/catalina.sh

# Only set CATALINA_HOME if not already set
[ -z "$CATALINA_HOME" ] && CATALINA_HOME=`cd "$PRGDIR/.." ; pwd`

How to repeat:
Have an existing tomcat installation.

Suggested fix:
Handle existing tomcat installations / use a different environment variable / force use of dashboard tomcat path only / other?

Otherwise can this be documented clearly so that it is a known fact or issue to be handled manually.
