Description:
On Solaris, it is normal to run a 32-bit userland except where 64-bit is needed (e.g. the MySQL server). The MySQL package/tar files for Solaris - at the least 64-bit ones - should include both 32-bit and 64-bit client libraries to make things easier for Solaris users. (Ideally, there would only be a single package, containing both 32-bit and 64-bit servers as well, using isalist(1) or isaexec(3C) to execute the correct one.)

We are closing this now as "Won't Fix". Various aspects are behind this,
chief among them package size considerations.
