Description:
the mysql server is not starting up. also the system preference pane isnt working. probably for the same reason. i know, that 10.5 is no final product yet, but as a lot of developers are probably using mysql, too it would be probably a nice thing to have a 10.5 compatible version.

How to repeat:
just install and try to start

Suggested fix:
probably modify way mysql is launched

Please do not submit the same bug more than once. An existing bug report already describes this very problem. Even if you feel that your issue is somewhat different, the resolution is likely
to be the same. Because of this, we hope you add your comments to the original bug instead.

Thank you for your interest in MySQL.

Duplicate of Bug #28854.

Additionally Mac OS X 10.5 is not released yet. We will return to the report after Mac OS X 10.5 will be released.

I just installed official version of Mac OS X 10.5 after receiving it this morning. Mysql does not seem to be operating correctly as reported in this bug report. This is a serious issue, obviously.
