Hello,
in the Documentation which is coming with this package is discribed how to compile  DBD::mysql and link against libmysqlclient.a. But perl Makefile.PL -static -config  seems not to work anymore. 

How to repeat:
get DBD::mysql 4.004 from cpan
perl Makefile.PL -static -config
