I tried the package from mysql.com mysql-gui-tools-5.0r11-fc5-i386 but run into another problem during the installation: libjvm.so is needed by mysql-gui-tools-5.0r11-1fc5.i386 libjvm.so(SUNWprivate_1.1) is needed by mysql-gui-tools-5.0r11-1fc5.i386 thanks yongxi

Thank you for the feedback. Indeed I had the same issue with dependencies on FC 6.0, however I installed them using yum. Please try the same. Thanks in advance.

thanks a lot for your prompt response! Yes, I tried the yum. No problem with installation, however, same error message "could not retrieve user privilege information" for "user administration" option in MySql Administrator thanks in advance & have a good day! yongxi
