Description:
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/log-file-maintenance.html gives the impression that you must manually purge binlogs, but the expire_logs_days system variable can do this for you. (Perhaps other logs, like the slow query log etc, must be rotated and purged by external scripts, but at least this one would not have to be).

How to repeat:
Doc bug

Suggested fix:
The paragraph at the end of http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/purge-master-logs.html is a good explanation.
