Description:
table editor uses text color of black for flags text (unsigned, zerofill, binary, etc) and for editing of all fields in columns/indices grid. this results in invisible text if user's system background color is also black.

Similar cause and solution to Bug #8091

How to repeat:
Change display properties, appearance, color scheme so that the background is black (high contrast).

Connect to MySQL using MySQL Administrator.
Click on Catalogs.
Select a database schema.
Click on the Schema Tables tab (if not already displayed)
Edit table.
Try to change "comment".

Suggested fix:
Use Windows foreground color instead of black.

Many thanks for writing a bug report. We are on the way to implement full functionality of MySQL Administrator into MySQL Workbench. We won't add this feature request anymore.
