Description:
When executing the Migration tool on Linux and trying to create the objects online, the following error message appears and the program aborts.

The SQL create script cannot be executed.
"The function TransformationMysql:splitSqlCommands() returned the following error:
You have to submit a SQL script string as parameter."
"com.mysql.grt.Grt.callGrtFunction(Unknown Source)
com.mysql.grt.modules.TransformationMysqlJdbc.executeSqlStatements(Unknown Source)
com.mysql.grt.modules.TransformationMysqlJdbc.executeSqlStatementPress <Enter> to continue.

Thank You,

Eric Singer

How to repeat:
Execute "run_migration"
At the "Source database connection" window, select "Oracle Database Server"
Create a database connection or use an existing one.
At the "Target database connection" window, select "MySQL Server"
Create a database connection or use an existing one.
At the "Schema selection" window, select an Oracle Schema.
At the "Setup ignore list" window, just go to the "Next" screen.
At the "Generate target objects" window, select only "Create objects online".
Select "OK" and the error message appears.

NOTE: Executing the same sequence and just selecting "Write a script file" in the Grenerate taget window works great, just the "Create objects online" produces the error.

Generate target objects
Create objects online

Thank you for a problem report. Can you, please, upload the script that is generated? I want to check if any referrential integrity constraints are involved.

Unfortunately I can not find a script that is generated. I've looked in the /usr/lib/mysql-gui/migration-toolkit-script directory, but can not find any new script files that were created. Of course if I choose the "Write a script file" option, two script files are generated and there's not an error.

Please, try to repeat with a newer version, from 5.0-r12, and inform about the results.

Unfortunately the version 5.0r12 did not solve this problem.

Thank You,

Eric

Please, try to repeat with a newer version, from GUI Tools 5.0-r13, and inform about the results.

We are on the way to implement MySQL Migration Toolkit into Workbench.
There it will get a layout.

MySQL Migration toolkit is not supported on Linux at the moment.
