Description:
I ran MySQL Administrator a few times without any problems. When I enabled password saving (obscured) and applied changes, went back to the connections manager and updated the connection details with a password typed in I got a "This program has performed an illeg..." popup and quits. Not sure if it's related...

Now everytime I try to start it pukes again.

How to repeat:
I can't. I uninstalled MySQL Administrator and reinstalled it and it still bombs out every time.

Thanks for reporting!

There is an issue with the Password Storage when set to Obscured.

This will be fixed asap.

In the meanwhile you could take the following steps to workaround this issues:

Please go to c:\Documents and Settings\[YourUsername]\Application Data\MySQL.
Delete all files located in this directory.

Then, after restarting the Administrator, instantly click [...] and change the
Password Storage to plain.

The issue has been fixed. The fix will be available in the next release 1.0.2a.
