Description:
I tried to change the port number from 3306 to 3310, to add the user "Anonymous" and have 20 connections instead of 100. All changes had no effect.
I saw that the "/etc/my.cnf" was obviously touched. 
Remark: The root password can be changed.

How to repeat:
Call Mysql Configuration Wizard and change the values as mentioned above. 
Check the effect.

This was fixed.

I was not able to repeat this, anon user creation worked as expected.

The max_connections parameter is calculated from the value given by the user
in the wizard, note that they are not the same value.
