Description:
When creating a new column, those of Datatype DATETIME currently allow the "Auto Inc" field to be checked. When doing so and then clicking "Apply Changes", this results in MySQL Error Number 1063 "Incorrect column specifier for column 'column_name'" since DATETIME columns can not be autoincrement.

How to repeat:
Start MySQL Administrator
Click Catalogs
Click a Schema
Click "Create Table"
Create a column of Datatype DATETIME
Check "Auto Inc"
Click "Apply Changes"

Suggested fix:
Disable "Auto Inc" field on DATETIME columns

Many thanks for writing a bug report. We are on the way to implement full functionality of MySQL Administrator into MySQL Workbench. We won't fix this anymore in MySQL Administrator because this is already fixed in Workbench.

More informations about MySQL Workbench you will find here:
