Description:
The Quick Start Help opens the Quick Start Guide in the Query Browser and it says: 

Before executing queries, you must select the default schema that you will be working on. You can select that by:

:   through the Select Schema... command in the File menu;

But I can find no Select Schema... command in the File menu.

How to repeat:
With the Query Browser open, select Quick Start Help from the Help menu. Read the 4th paragraph.

Suggested fix:
Edit the Help guide or add the menu.

Many thanks for writing a bug report. We are on the way to implement full functionality of MySQL Query Browser into MySQL Workbench. Unfortunately you are using an unsupported platform. More informations about supported platforms you will find here:

Please also check context menu make default schema.
