Hello

You make an enormous effort to figure out the paths of the binaries but I wonder
why in case of "--external" you don't simply use --libexecdir/--sbindir from the Makefile or at least "my_print_defaults | grep ^--basedir | cut -d= -f2" to
get it...

How to repeat:
Run mysql-test on a distribution that happened to install the tests in
/usr/share/mysql/mysql-test/
