Description:
I installed MySQL admin on two computer and both have this error. When you click on replication status it gives me the error: Could not retrieve replication status information. SQL error.
This is preventing me from installing my 2 server that I really need. Also I cannot logon from the root account. It seems that only the SuperUser accounts work.

How to repeat:
Just install MySQL admin on Fedora 5 and try to open Replication status

Thank you for the bug report. Could you please provide the MySQL server
version master/slave and their my.cnf files. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Sorry I have been studying and getting to know Fedora for work. I have been doing alot of tests. And I changed the password to the root account for MySQL at some point. After more then a week of not touching it I came back to it but I didn't note down the password for the MySQL root account. So I forgot that I changed it. After a while now I found the password and it changes again. But it seems that uninstalling MySQL doesn't clear the password for the MySQL root account. Anyways, PEBKAC (Problem exists between keyboard and chair.
Thanks for the support. Sorry for wasting your time. This can be closed.
