Description:
As described by Micosoft how to upgrade from 64-bit-XP to 64-bit-Vista, I reinstalled Mysql after having restored all with the help of "Windows easy transfer" tool, but the regression test didn't work. Reason: For "mysql-test" no owner, group and permission is specified in the cygwin environment. The attemtp to delete the directories with "explorer" as administrator also failed.
The "easy tranfer" tool seems to not set these info correctly, as they have only a meaning within cygwin.
More test may show if the upgrade method of Microsoftcan be used for Mysql or if we need an own one.

How to repeat:
install mysql on XP. upgrade to vista with the "clean install" methode. install mysql on vista again in the same directoy as on XP. Start the tests.

Thank you for the report.

Have you tried to run chmod -R on mysql directory under cygwin?
