Description:
It is possible to store a new connection for the workbench, but not to change or delete it (changes will not be stored).
I guess its a problem with the xml file "connection.xml" which contains the information about the connections for the workbench.
You can edit it manually with a text editor, but should be changed in the workbench itself, isn't it?

As a result of a incomplete and/or invalid connection information stored in the file, the workbench try to access a db via this wrong information and crashes when opening any file - correcting the xml entries will solve this, but not the other error with file with >10 objects on PowerPC-Macs.

It is also not a proble with file vault, I tested it on a different user without a filevault user-folder.

How to repeat:
Add a new connection. Try to change or delete it. It is not possible.

Thank you for the report.

Altough described symphtoms are different, I mark it as duplicate of early posted Bug #23088.
