Description:
Our production server has been experiencing crashes every two weeks or so on a fairly common query. I am attaching logs and resolved stack traces of the seven most recent such crashes. Because the query is in all cases the same, it would seem that it must be directly related to that query. This crash seems to occur only once every few weeks on a query that is run nearly every minute, though, so it is not a uniform failure.

The query typically arrives through Connector/J from one of our application servers. Our application servers gracefully fail over and reconnect shortly after each such incident and are able to proceed normally.

I will attach: Logs and resolved stack traces of seven recent such occurances, as well as our my.cnf file.

How to repeat:
Unfortunately, I have not been able to repeat this crash outside of our production database, which is several gigabytes in size and therefore cannot easily be attached to this bug.

Thank you for a problem report. Please, try to repeat with a newer version, 5.0.27, and inform about the results.
[17 Nov 2006 21:52] Grant Gould
5.0.27 is not yet packaged for any version of Debian, but I will attempt to reproduce under 5.0.26.

Please, do, and inform about the results. In case of the same crashes, please try to use MySQL binaries on Debian.
