Description:
I got following error message:

Unable to connect to MySQL server. MySQL reported: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

As a result of the problem I had found this Link:

http://forge.mysql.com/wiki/Error2003-CantConnectToMySQLServer#MySQL_Server_is_running.2C_...

The real problem behind the error was, that I had uploaded the local config.php from the development machine by mistake instead uploading the sequential next to the config file placed "contact.php". Just by mixing the to configurations the error message was displayed. With the error description I went on the wrong path and never though about the config file. I would be helpful if the error occurs that the possibility of a corrupted config file will be displayed.

How to repeat:
The real problem behind the error was, that I had uploaded the local config.php from the development machine (localhost vs. dboxxx.de) by mistake instead uploading the sequential next to the config file placed "contact.php". Just by mixing the to configurations the error message was displayed. With the error description I went on the wrong path and never though about the config file. I would be helpful if the error occurs that the possibility of a corrupted config file will be displayed.

Suggested fix:
With the error description above I went on the wrong path and never though about the config file. I would be helpful if the error occurs that the possibility of a corrupted config file will be displayed.
