I downloaded it from 3 different mirrors and unzipped them without any problems. Then I assume that you got corrupted files in the download process caused by your browser or downloader tool or you are having problems with your unzip utility.

Thanks - I tried a different mirror and it worked fine this time. Weird.... mysql server had downloaded & unzipped just fine, and so had Tomcat, JBoss, J2SDK, and several other things. Oh well...:) Thanks again, Mike
