Description:
In firts, excuse for my English !

The bug :
I tried to use old method for encryption password with mySQL, for this i gone to MySQL Administrator
-> Startup Variables
-> Security
And I checked "Use Old Password"

When I applied changes, this take my "my.ini" file, add the correct sentence at the end, but it also put a "#" in front of all previous sentences, but not in front of these 2 sentences :

port=3306
default-character-set=latin1

I very much think this bug is a duplicate of bug #23822. Unfortunately, we still have not found a way to reproduce this strange problem on our machines. Julien, if you have info how to reproduce this reliably I would be all ears.

ok no problem !

I don't know if this can will help you more, but when i go to the :
-> Administrator 
-> Startup variables

it doesn't load anyone of my current variables !
