Description:
Prior installation of MySQL connector/ODBC v 5.0.0.5 exists in sysfolder. Removed manually. Nothing is installed in sysfolder.
Following first link (.msi), trying to install, Error 1316. A network error occured while attempting to read from file "Path to my install folder"\mysql_odbc.msi.

Manually fixing registry entry help installation to finish but still no driver installed.
Following 2nd link (.zip/setup.exe). Setup finishes, no driver installed...

Try installing MySQL connector/ODBC 5.0.0.6 (possibly over existing 5.0.0.5).
