Description:
MyOdbc bombs out in msqry32.exe, version 11.0.5510.0 at connect from MS Excel.
I connect to mysql 5.1 running on a Mandriva 2007 server.

Hi Lars and thanks for your problem report.
I was able to verify it just as described with MySQL server 5.0.27BK on WinXP Pro SP2 localhost running MS Excel 11 build 8033.

I installed 5.00.07-beta over the old version. And now I can connect.
But the initial table popup (when connecting from MS Excel) is empty. I have to
click 'Options' and 'Refresh' to populate the table popup.

I also tried a select * from a table, the result showed up in MS query, but
not in Excel. I will experiment with this later.

Hi Lars. So we have overcome the problem with msqry32.exe and MySQL connector/ODBC DSN. I will close this report now.

Closing as msqry32.exe does not crash anymore with MySQL connector/ODBC DSN as of v. 5.00.07.

5.0 branch is discontinued. One should use 3.51 or 5.1 instead.
