Thank you for a problem report. Please, send me URL you used to download that mysql-5.0.26-winx64.zip. I am not sure it is released officially. I can not find it at http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.0.html, for example.

oh sorry about that, I forgot to mention that I got the file from this link http://mirror.sit.wisc.edu/mysql/Downloads/MySQL-5.0/mysql-5.0.26-winx64.zip found in the list at (http://mirror.sit.wisc.edu/mysql/Downloads/MySQL-5.0/?S=A) This is a mysql mirror I guess. this same file is located in about 10 different mirrors, but not listed on mysql's download site.

Sorry, but these binaries wehere not announced (as well as 5.0.27 ones) for a good reason. So, please, wait for next officially released community version of binaries for 64-bit Windows and check them (or build yourself from sources).
