Description:
Workbench crashes when attempting to use the layer tool.

How to repeat:
Click on the layer tool. Attempt to draw a layer on the Main View.

Suggested fix:
Working Layer tool.

I have the same with latest MySQL Workbench (1.1.4alpha) from MySQL GUI Tools 5.0r4.

It crashes with this message in the term :
"** CRITICAL **: myx_grt_bridge_dict_item_get_value: assertion `dict != NULL' failed
aborting...
Aborted"
