Description:

Odd behaviour when using greman umlauts in table name

MySQL Administrator 1.2.3 RC (German)
MySQL-Server-Information
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mit MySQL-Serverinstanz verbunden
  Benutzername: root
  Hostname: localhost
  Port: 3306
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Serverinformation
  MySQL-Version: MySQL 5.0.18-nt via TCP/IP
  Netzwerkname: localhost
  IP: 127.0.0.1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clientinformation
  Version: MySQL Client Version 5.0.11
  Netzwerkname: hgs
  IP: 192.168.2.5
  Betriebssystem: Windows XP
  Hardware: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.00GHz, 504 MB RAM

How to repeat:

Open MySQL Administrator (German version)
Select Kataloge
Create a new schema in this case 'aaa'
Select schema 'aaa'

In the right pane activate tab 'Schema-Tabellen'
In there create a new table using the german umlaut 'ä' for the table name
Next just create a field like 'a'
Now say 'Apply Changes'

--> You will get a screen like in screen shot u1.png
In there say 'Ausführen'

--> You will get an error like in screen shot u2.png saying
 'can not get table information'
Say Ok
Say Close in table editor with 'discard changes'.

-->You will end up with a screen like in screen shot u3.png
NOTE: the 'ä' has changed to some funny characters.

If you try to rename the table form 'ä' back to 'a' you will get
a screen like in u4.png wit h even more funy characters.

The only thing left is to delete the table.

Similar odd behaviour when using german umlauts in fieldnames.

Thank you for the report.

Verified as described using cyrillic letter and last 1.2.4 rc MySQL Administrator.
