Description:
I had already a workbench model open. But then I tried to create a new one trough File-> New Workbench ...
And the it crashed, after pressing ok to the error I did the same thing (try to make a new workbench) and the same happened.

How to repeat:
Open the workbench model, then go to File->New Workbench
