Description:
I wanted to migrate from my MS Access database to Mysql using MySQL migration toolkit. I've made the necessary changes at my MDB file and dragged it to the mysql migration toolkit program. But when the program starts, I see a text in red saying "Driver not attached" and "the selected driver is not attached to the application yet." and a button named "Locate Driver on Harddisk". When I click on it, there are to options:
1. Close
2. Cancel

When I restart the program, the same error occurs. I couldn't migrate from ms access to mysql. I think the program should work without knowing much about databases if you want people to use open source programs rather than microsoft's.

How to repeat:

Suggested fix:
If the problem is a bug, then it should be corrected. But if it is a matter of knowledge that I could not handle the migration, then again the toolkit must be reconstructed in a way such that it should be much more user friendly.

Thank you for the bug report. I was unable to repeat the behavior reported,
I did the below steps:

- Create a database with Access 2003.
- Started the Migration Toolkit.
- Click twice next to reach the Source Database screen
- Dragged the MDB file and the tool filled correctly the Database System and
  Database File fields.
following the next stpes I was able to migrate the Access database.

Could you please provide exactly the steps you did or you can provide the
MDB file for to test on our side.

Thanks in advance.

When I drag my MBD file into Migration toolkit, an error occurs. The error message is "Driver not attached". There is a button named as "Locate Driver on Harddisk". When I click on that button, it says: "The application needs to be restarted. Please click on [Close] to close the application."
Here, I click close but nothing happens when I restart the application.

Thank you for the feedback. Still I am unable to repeat, could you
please attach a custom MDB file which shows that problem on your
side? Thanks in advance.
