Description:
I install the program the way that I am told to and I finish the instalation procces just fine, but when I go to open mysqladmin.exe an error message pops up that says,

"AccessViolation at address 00402975 in module 'winmysqladmin.exe'. Read of address 00000000."

After i click "Ok", the program runs but the error pops up about every 10 sec.
Also in the book that I'm useing tells me that when I run mysqladmin.exe for the first time it will ask for a user name and password that I will use to log in as admin, but it doesnt. Also my mysqladmin doesnt register my IP address, and for my OS it says "Whistler".

How to repeat:
Install the version on a Windows XP Home edition machine in the default dir, move the my-mediem.cnf file to C:/ and rename it "my.cnf". Then run the mysqladmin.exe program. And the error will happen.
[3 Jan 2004 4:23] MySQL Verification Team
I run WinMySQLAdmin on XP Home Edition without any problems, however
the MySQL server version is 4.0.17. I am not able for to test it with
that pretty older version 4.0.4, anyway I recommend you to upgrade the
whole MySQL stuff and test it again.
