1st, Thanks for your efforts
2nd, i'm sorry for my humble english

Tested Platform : Ms Windows (98,XP,2003)
Dev Tool : MS Visual Basic 6.0(SP 5.0)
MySQL : 4.0.17, ODBC Connection : 3.51.06

generally, connect correct ip address,uid,password ==> connected well

1. but, situation in connecting well
2. try to connect wrong param(ip add,uid or pwd)
   ==> access deny (good)
3. and reconnect correct ip address,uid,pwd 
   ==> access deny (wrong)

i guess odbc's pre setting is not clear ...

Could you please provide the detail on exactly what you are doing.  I have not seen that problem.  Could you provide the code you use, tables, any any details to duplicate the problem  We need to know exactly what you did to get these errors.  A repeatable test case is best to find and fix a bug.  Thank you for taking the time to report this problem you are having.

With what I tried I was unable to get the error you are reporting.
