Description:
Per Trudy's suggestion I'm filing a separate report requesting a documentation update related to Bug #22062: View Definer unable to Show View - results in mysql-dump failure.

Depending on the resolution of that bug, the docs will need to be updated to reflect either:
1) the workaround to the problem which is for the administrator to manually grant SHOW VIEW to users who are granted CREATE VIEW, since we don't grant it implicitly when views are created.
OR
2) any new behavior resulting from a code change to fix the bug

How to repeat:
Please see #22062 for a complete description of the problem
