I do not and never did with either 1.1 or 1.2 (including 1.2.2). I have 5 different MySQL server instances installed on two diferent WinXP(32) boxes and often reconfigure each (stopping/starting and changing simple parameters like port, charset, logging options etc.) several times per day with MA.

Never got it here :-)

Now that won't help you of course, but I just add this here to point out that it is not ALWAYS so!

you're saying a x32 box, and with a x64 have you tried?

I'. not sure if my error is related to this one here. When i start MySQL Administrator 1.2.3rc i get a similar Error when trying to connect to the server.
The Error is:
"Exception EAccessViolation in module libmysqladmin.dll at 000013D8.
Access violation at address 003B13D8 in module 'libmysqladmin.dll'. Read of address 00000010."

Im running Windows XP32 but on dual core mainboard.

Faulting application MySQLAdministrator.exe, version 1.2.3.0, faulting module libmysqladmin.dll, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x000013d8.

Is there a workaround for this bug without rebuilding from source or waiting until the next release?
