Description:
I downloaded MySQL WorkBench v 1.0.6 beta from MySQL site with no problems.  Installed it on my machine and no problems happened.  When I tried to execute it, returned this message "Program didn't initialized correctly (Oxc000001d).  Click OK to abort the execution." 

How to repeat:
Following the instructions above.

I can not repeat it using MySQL WOrkbench on Windows XP SP2. Please, indicate accurate version of your operation system.

My OS is:  Windows XP Professional, version 2002, SP2 and the processor is:  AMD-K6(tm) 3D processor, 427 MHz, 88MB RAM.

I have same OS as you and can not repeat the problem. Could you please describe step by step your actions start installation till getting error? You can also load new version of MySQL Workbench here: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/gui-tools/5.0.html

I loaded the new version of the programs from the address you mentioned and the problems went away.  Thanks.  Now, I will test MySQL WorkBench to learn more about it.
