Description:
I receive this error in the mysql log when restarting mysql:

/usr/sbin/mysqld: ready for connections.
Version: '4.1.13' socket: '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' port: 3306 SUSE MySQL RPM
060710 20:16:49 InnoDB: Warning: purge reached the head of the history list,
InnoDB: but its length is still reported as 8509288! Make a detailed bug
InnoDB: report, and post it to bugs.mysql.com

I am not sure when this started happening or what the fix might be, but I am doing what it asked and sbumitting a bug report. Let me know if you need more details or if I can get more information off the system.

Suse 10, dual 3ghz xeons, 4gig ram. Running only innnodb tables, with a ibdata1 file of 25gig. This might be part of the issue, I'm not sure how big those are supposed to be able to get.

How to repeat:
Not sure, every time I restart mysql on this box I get this error.

Thank you for a problem report. Please, try to use newer version, 4.1.20, and send your my.cnf file content.

Aaron,

please post the ENTIRE .err log.

This may be tablespace corruption or memory corruption.

Heikki
