Description:
The ALTER TABLE Syntax page does not properly explain index_type. Infact there is no reference anywhere else on that page.

| ADD [CONSTRAINT [symbol]]
        UNIQUE [INDEX|KEY] [index_name] [index_type] (index_col_name,...)

How to repeat:
N/A

Suggested fix:
Add proper documentation that is similiar to that on the CREATE INDEX Syntax page or properly link to the section within the CREATE INDEX Syntax page from the ALTER TABLE Syntax page. It would also be beneficial to refer to index_type as the same thing on the CREATE INDEX Syntax page, instead of type_name if this is linked.

Thank you for a reasonable documentation request. Page http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/alter-table.html should include information about index_type (or a reference to its description).
