Description:
I just downloaded the latest beta of Workbench.  After the install I attempted to start the program from the Start Menu.  I got the error;

"The application failed to initialize properly ()xc000001d)."

When I clear this, it pops up again. When I claer that, it all goes away.

I took all the defaults in the installation and didn't see any dificulty. The MySQL install went fine as well.

I do have Toad for MySQL installed if that matters.

How to repeat:
Start the program.

Thank you for the bug report. Could you please provide the URL where
you downloaded the package and which version it is.

Thanks in advance.

Sure Miguel and thanks for looking at this so fast.  I downloaded;
http://dev.mysql.com/get/Downloads/MySQLDeveloperSuite/mysql-workbench-1.0.6-beta-win32.ms...

I'm not sure which mirror I picked, probably the first one.

Hope that helps, -Rhe.

Hi!

I was unable to reproduce this bug under both, Win32 / Win64

I have this same problem. I am running under VirtualPC, Mac OS X so I thought it was related to that, but apparently not.

I'm going to do a full download & install again. Let's see what I get.

I have the same problem, under XP SP2! The mirror was MeshSolutions, Germany. I have reported this http://bugs.mysql.com/20115 but I think it's hard to repeat if the problem is about the OS, not the app. Or the Kaspersky AntiVirus 5 may be involved?!
