Description:
delete obj doesnt work on layers

How to repeat:
Interesting behaviour.

create a new Layer, 
delete it usind ctrl-delete, => it's deleted in the Layers Box, but still displays on the Main View,
Click it on the main view, and you can't release it anymore. It sticks to the Mouse.
