Thank you for the bug report. Please take a look in your log error
file generally in the data directory with a name your_host_name.err
or open a command prompt, go to the \bin directory and issue:

mysqld-nt --defaults-file="C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\my.ini" --standalone --console

Change the path for my.ini for your actual path.

Then see the error message and try to fix it.

..this *solution* doesn't work. I checked if the path in my.ini is right etc, but i still get this error on windows server 2003 SP1..

Where is the real solution for this?
