Description:
This bug started as I was drawing a relationship, (on v1.0.5), and the dotted line from the origin to the target wouldn't detach itself from my cursor. I tried double clicking a couple of times but what happened was the line just started originating where my cursor was when I clicked.

I tried installing 1.0.6 to see if the problem was resolved, but it wasn't, and here's what happened next: (now in 1.0.6) when I start Workbench, after the splash when the program is loaded I see in the space where I draw the diagram either chunks of random graphics & blackness accross the middle of the space, or the whole space is pretty much black, with some random pixels of other colours in it.

This usually goes away though if I move the scrollbars. Then I try to open a model file, (I only have one - that's as far as I got before having problems). The open file dialogue box works properly but when the actual opening happens I get an error message at the bottom of the Workbench Screen that says:
Access Violation at address 005559BE in module 'MySqlWorkbench.exe'. Read of address 00000000' This is in the status bar of Workbench, not the system.

I have tried both v1.0.5 and 1.0.6 and the symptoms are the same. This problem makes Workbench unusable for me.

I am running a XP Home SP2 Pentium 4 2.53 Ghz, 512MB RAM and a 120GB drive, integrated Intel graphics, (64MB).

How to repeat:
If it'll do it for you - start workbench and work for a while. See what happens. For me, now that the bug has shown itself, it happens right away.

I will be uploading a screenshot as soon as I can.

I was able to reproduce this under XP with a laptop with the following specs:

3 Ghz
512 RAM
Intel Grapics Adapter

This same problem doesn't seem to occure under my XP64 box with an ATI X600 graphics card
