Description:
I am unable to unzip the Windows installer zip file. I have tried three different utilities and they all fail. The non-installer download unzipped ok.

How to repeat:
I tried Powerarchiver and WinRAR in windows, gunzip in cygwin.

Suggested fix:
Recompress it?

Since you don't mentioned from where you uploaded the package file
I did from an aleatory mirror and installed it without problem.
Then I assume that you gave the corrupt file during the download
process.

I don't know what an aleatory mirror is and I don't see anything like that in the list of mirors. I tried three different USA mirrors:
Argonne National Labs:
http://www.mysql.com/get/Downloads/MySQL-3.23/mysql-3.23.58-win.zip/from/ftp://mirror.mcs.anl.gov/pub/mysql/

pair Networks:
http://www.mysql.com/get/Downloads/MySQL-3.23/mysql-3.23.58-win.zip/from/http://mysql.mirrors.pair.com/

CyberServers.net Internet Solutions:
http://www.mysql.com/get/Downloads/MySQL-3.23/mysql-3.23.58-win.zip/from/http://mysql.cyberservers.net/

I'm in the US. I was able to download and unzip the distribution from the three URLs
listed with no problem.

I tried: CyberServers.net Internet Solutions without problems.
Sorry you are getting corrupted files with the download process.

I just tried it again today and I also am having no problems. I cannot explain it. Might as well close this issue.
