Description:
After entering the database login details, and click on "OK", the application opens with a tranparent result window. The query field is missing, and a message in the status bar (bottom) displays: "Devision by zero".

I started getting this after installing Openoffice v2.0.2.

Upgrading from the then version 1.1.7 --> 1.1.20 did not solve the issue.

How to repeat:
Install first Query Browser v 1.1.7, then install OpenOffice v2.0.2. Try to open Query Browser. Mine broke at this stage.

Did not yet try deinstalling OpenOffice.

Thank you for a problem report. Please, try to deinstall OpenOffice 2.0.2, start QB 1.1.20 again, and inform about the results. I have QB 1.1.20 and OpenOffice 2.0.1 on XP, and they both works OK.

Deinstalling OpenOffice did not solve the problem. Also tried de-installing and re-installing QB, but it does exactly the same thing.

Any other ideas? Otherwise I'll have to use Control Centre until we upgrade to MySQL 5.

I have openoffice 1.1.3 (old I know) and it's co-existing fine with QB on W2K. I wonder what shared libraries etc are conflicting.

I wonder if there is some way of seeing which libraries (dll's) are used by QB (like using "ldd" in Linux?). I have cygwin installed, but "ldd" is not part of it.

Do anybody know of something else?

I have the same problem. I first noticed it today (the last I used QB was before installing Microsoft Visual Foxpro and Microsoft SQL Server). I am unable to uninstall these programs to see if they are causing the problem.

I am running MySQL Query Browser 1.1.7, and 1.1.20 on Microsoft Windows XP SP2 Home Edition.

While I'm not able to consistently reproduce this bug, I have seen it happen and it got fixed after I reinstalled my system. This was under Xp64.

Believe it or not, but rebooting my system solved the problem. Don't ask me why that worked, I suppose it's a windows thing.
