Description:
Typing stop instance, should stop the instance, it doesn't when you start up the im with:
/usr/local/mysql/libexec/mysqlmanager --user=mysql --run-as-service

How to repeat:
Start up the IM with:
/usr/local/mysql/libexec/mysqlmanager --user=mysql --run-as-service

Then try to stop the instance.
