Description:
No version of the MySQL Query browser now works on Fedora Core 5. I had an old tar.gz version that worked on Fedora Core 4, but it segfaults on startup now. I tried the binary distribution and the RPM, but both segfault on startup. I even tried to build from the source rpm, but the build fails. MySQL Administrator that came with Fedora Core 5 works. The Fedora guys have told me they didn't include query browser into extras precisely for the reason of the segfaults.

Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated, as I was in the middle of doing some analysis with a set of queries I was executing through the query browser.

Thanks.

How to repeat:
Execute mysql-query-browser

This is a duplicate of

http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=18428

Which has a patch to fix it if you're compiling from source. I might be pursuaded to provide a binary if this is a real issue for people.
