Description:
After having run the installer, double-clicking on the MySQL Workbench icon causes the Windows error reporting screen to appear immediately.

Running a Visual Studio debug session reveals an access violation at this instruction:

77F9787C  push        esi  

The Debug backtrace will be attached as file.

How to repeat:
Start the program.

I was unable to repeat on XP SP2..Did you tried removing/re-installing
and also with SP2?
