Description:
From Chromatic at O'Reilly Publishing (chromatic@wgz.org):

I'm seeing a lot of weird timeouts, where the server restarts. It showsup when trying to install DBD::mysql -- the t/50commit.t test fails. Italso shows up when trying to run the client.I've attached strace logs, broken out by process, if they'll help. Otherwise, let me know what I can provide. It's my laptop, so publicaccess is out, but I can recompile with debugging symbols and run gdb onit.

How to repeat:
Run make test with Perl DBD.

Hi Brian,

I have tried to verify this report but was unable to see the errors. I tried this on a Linux/PPC machine and I could not repeat the problem. Could I get more information on the exact Hardware and Software configuration. Maybe the errors are releated to some specific set or conditions that I am not duplicating?

I am using

DBD-mysql-2.9003
Perl 5.8.1
MySQL-4.0.16

Could you please provide the details on exactly what you/they are using?

Thanks,

Sincerely,

I'm using Gentoo on a 1 GHz PowerBook, running the 2.4.22-ben2 kernel.

DBD::mysql is 2.9003.

MySQL is 4.0.16.

Perl is 5.8.2.

I can provide config logs if necessary; I also have straces.
