I was unable to repeat this issue on Fedora Core 4 and Suse Linux 10.

I can confirm this on Debian GNU/Linux testing/unstable with nvidia graphics drivers (seems worth mentioning as it's an OpenGL app). It starts, some windows flash and disppear and then it just sits there... The prompt is not coming back, Ctrl-C obviously stops the program in whatever it is doing.

Bug is still present in Mysql GUI Tools 5.0-r9 at FC 6. The problem appears on non english systems.
