I am sorry, but you had not changed bug status after uploading the screenshot, that's why I had not noted it. Anyway, it can be incomplete or incorrect download. Nobody else reported about similar problem. So, please, try to download and install latest version, 5.0.19: http://dev.mysql.com/get/Downloads/MySQL-5.0/mysql-standard-5.0.19-osx10.4-powerpc.dmg and inform about the results.

So, if you are technically skilled, you can just get MD5 checksum for your package downloaded and compare it to one presented at the MySQL's site. If it is the same, then you proved there is a bug, either on the download web-page or in the package. As I already explained, if version 5.0.19, the lateast, has no problem you described, there is no need to fix older versions. > The point is that bug reports should be taken seriously.
