Exception EMyxError in module MySQLAdministrator.exe at 00109F66. Error while loading stored connections.Error Number 3.

Query browser and administrator will not start.

I found the problem that was causing the error but not what caused the "problem" in the first place. The exception was being thrown because \Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\MySQL\mysqlx_user_connections.xml was empty. Even the Encoding tag was missing. Since it was nolonger a valid xml file the dataset could not read the file. I inserted an encoding tag and was able to manually rebuild my list of connections by entering them using the options dialog for the stored connections dialog.

While I have ostensibly solved my own issue, ongoing concerns would be what corrupted the mysqlx_user_connections.xml file in the first place (what deleted all the text in the file?). Also as I stated previously, a more informative exception message box stating that the problem was related to the that file and the standard location would be a useful revision.

The same scenario happened to me, I took the file from another computer and put it on my computer and it worked fine.

On windows 7

Path C:\Users\username??\AppData\Roaming\MySQL

File mysqlx_user_connections.xml

The previos file was dameged, I removed and put this one.

Why does this happen? In my case I can say that it came after at least 3 power outages due to thunderstorms.-
