Description:
It would be better to have the query browser display an "alter procedure" when editing an existing proc than displaying a "drop procedure" followed by an "create procedure", this also for safety reasons, in case something goes wrong between the drop and the create!

How to repeat:
Feature request

This is actually not a Query Browser issue, but one of the MySQL server itself. See Bug #9588. The server doesn't support this functionality.

Many thanks for writing a feature request. We are on the way to implement full functionality from MySQL Query Browser into Workbench. I will set this to verified with tag Workbench because this is something we will discuss for Workbench.
