Description:
When you arn't connected as a root-user you can't see the contend of a table by dubbleclick.

How to repeat:
Log in as a user named other than root and doubleclick a table.

Please verify if that user has the privileges necessaries for
to access these database/tables. I did a test on XP (I don't
have Win98, but I don't believe this is the cause of your
behavior).
