Description:
Latly we configured the firewall infront of our servers to drop ICMP packages/ traffic.

MYSQL can't connect to that db server anymore.

Though a telnet through the db reveals the database as usual.

How to repeat:
Tell your servers firewall to drop all ICMP traffic.

Sorry by MYSQL I mean the MYSQL Adminstrator of course.

Thank you for a problem report. Please, specify the exact version of MySQL Administrator used (1.1.7 is the latest at http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/administrator/1.1.html, so 1.2 is surely wrong). Try to repeat with 1.1.7 and inform about the results.

Ok sorry I had version 1.1.2...

I just tested version 1.1.7... this issue doesn't occur here any more.

So it must have been fixed, even though I was not able to a similar bug report.

Next time I try to always have latest version.
